Salvatore Scaramozzino: The Exploration of Thought, in Matter, Light, Color, and Ambient Scene.

Diving into the serene yet profound world of Salvatore Scaramozzino, we uncover the poetics of thought materializing through various elements—matter, light, color.... Born into a humble farming family in 1957 in Dinami, a small town in the province of Vibo Valentia, Scaramozzino is a man of simplicity and sensitivity, attributes palpably evident in his work. His academic journey, enriched by a diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 1980 with a specialization in scenography, set the stage for his artistic pursuits.

Salvatore began his artist's journey with an inaugural solo exhibition in his hometown, later participating in numerous contests, encompassing both painting and teaching. In 1985, a transition to Milan heralded a new chapter in his career, where he worked in various scenography workshops like Sormani and Arianese, honing new expressive painting techniques.

Presently an instructor of applied art at the State Art Institute of Cantù, Scaramozzino continually blends his experiential knowledge with teaching, thereby contributing to the next generation of artists. His work remains a testament to the exploration of thought, effortlessly intertwining with physical and intangible elements, inviting spectators on a journey where simplicity and profundity coexist harmoniously.

At the Contemporary Art Fair Luzern, Salvatore Scaramozzino will unveil his latest four artworks: "La pace frantumata", "La fede dispersa", "Il benessere bruciato" and "Prole disprezzata"

Each composition is crafted on canvas, specifically cut in a trapezoidal shape to represent a frame - a distant view of contemporary warfare. The void within the shape is reconstructed with transparent gauze, later tinted with chromatic veils. Textures and reliefs are achieved using stucco and threads.

Get ready to witness the spectacular blend of meticulous composition, chromatic veils, and profound symbolism, compelling us to ponder upon our own percepts of peace, war, faith, and well-being.
