The Arts Crossroad Gallery is delighted to introduce Ying Handler as a participating artist in the fine art exhibition, "La Primavera." Taking place from March 21st to 24th, 2024, at the Kornschütte in Luzern, this event marks Ying's inaugural exhibition, promising a captivating debut of her artistic talent.
Ying Handler is a visual artist and designer based in Zurich, Switzerland, with roots tracing back to Guangxi, China, where she was born in 1991. Having traversed various roles including painting educator, graphic designer, and sales and marketing professional, Ying's journey has been one of multifaceted exploration and adaptation.
Having embarked on her journey away from her hometown at the tender age of 13, Ying's life has been a tapestry woven with the threads of diverse cities, cultures, and experiences. Yet, amidst the ever-changing landscapes of her existence, she has found herself grappling with the constants of upheavals such as epidemics, wars, and extreme weather, serving as poignant reminders of the fragility and resilience inherent in human existence.
Since 2023, Ying has called Switzerland her creative home, where she has delved into the realms of artistry with a newfound fervor. Through her work, she seeks to capture the essence of existence, delving into the interplay between the individual and the cosmos. Inspired by her practice of meditation, initiated in 2023, Ying explores the juxtaposition of her own insignificance against the vastness of the universe, finding solace and illumination in the realization that we are all interconnected, each a unique constellation within the celestial expanse.
