Janna Huggenberger

"I see not only what was, but what can be."
Janna Huggenberger is a Georgian-born artist who has lived and worked in Switzerland since 1997. Her artistic journey began with classical ballet, an early encounter with discipline, form and aesthetics that continues to influence her approach to art and movement.
For almost 30 years, she has worked with glass, using techniques including Tiffany, fusing and cast glass. In recent years, wood has become an important part of her artistic practice. Working intuitively with found materials, particularly driftwood, she combines natural structures with glass, wood and mixed media to create figurative works filled with a sense of movement.
