Where Art Meets its Audience
Arts Crossroad was founded in 2018 in Switzerland with a simple but powerful idea — to connect original contemporary art with new audiences, and to give independent artists a platform to be seen, collected and celebrated.
2018 — The Beginning It all started with a single pop-up exhibition of Armenian contemporary art in Arth, Switzerland. The idea was to expose Armenian contemporary art to a Swiss audience and give Armenian artists the opportunity to present their work outside their homeland. The response was overwhelming.
2019 — Growing Roots Inspired by the success of the first exhibition, we continued bringing Armenian contemporary art to Switzerland. Two consecutive exhibitions took place at the Barrique wine cellar of St. Jakobskellerei Schuler in Seewen and Altstadthalle in Zug, concluding the year with more than 70 artworks — paintings and sculptures — travelling all the way from Armenia.
2020 — A Gallery is Born Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, a small art gallery opened in the city centre of Zurich. Through the on and off restrictions of the year, Arts Crossroad presented several solo and group exhibitions — and introduced its first online exhibitions.
2021 — A New Concept The gallery launched a new concept, onboarding six new artists whose works were showcased alongside permanent exhibitors at pop-up exhibitions at Altstadthalle Zug in July and December.
2022 — Luzern and Beyond Arts Crossroad opened the year with a group exhibition at Kornschütte Luzern — the beginning of a lasting relationship with the city. The gallery expanded its presence across Switzerland and for the first time participated at Art International Zurich 2022. Several artists from different cultural backgrounds joined, prompting a new exhibition — Cultural Diversity.
Today Arts Crossroad represents over 100 artists from 15 nationalities — personally selected, internationally diverse, united by quality.
We organise Kunstmesse Luzern, operate the Digital Wall at the fair, and manage Arts Crossroad Living Walls — a curated network of premium venues displaying original artwork across Switzerland.
We are not a marketplace. We are not a directory. We are a curated platform built on personal relationships, quality selection and the belief that art deserves to be experienced — not just scrolled past.
