Grafic designer Lina Gagikyan has her special place in modern applied Armenian arts with her jewels, graphic adaptations of numerous sketches and drawings created on metal with needles. Her unique works, can’t be confused with the works of another artist. Lina grew as a professional thanks to her creativity, infinite diligence and dedication.
The founder of PiaFchik handmade works, the young, modest and elegant Armenian woman, Lina Gagikyan, works and creates without thinking about fame. What particularly stand out in Lina’s handmade works are perhaps the bracelets, trinkets, earrings, rings and pins in blue, turquoise and silver, and almost all of them resemble Armenian bird-like and pomegranate-shaped pictograms.
Lina gives life and air to speechless metals. One must see the works of “PiaFchik” not merely as a bracelet or earring, but also as symbols of different eras of Armenian history. Each work has its history. The stones are not selected casually, each of them has a symbolic meaning.
